What I’m passionate about:

I’m passionate about kindness and giving grace for the mistakes we make. We have all done and said things we wish we hadn’t and accepting that is sometimes hard. But it’s part of being human. Offering grace and a safe place for you to land means no judgement and lots of kindness.

How that passion developed:

Growing up, mental health wasn’t tops on the list of things talked about and sometimes felt shameful. But as I got older, I realized that talking about mental health and working on my mistakes actually made me a stronger more resilient person. I wish I had learned that earlier in life. But since I can’t go back in time, the next best thing is to share this knowledge.

How I live my passion as a nurse practitioner:

I don’t judge! And I don’t pretend I’m someone I’m not. I truly care about you and your life journey, and being allowed to journey with you is humbling. I accept all of you…the weirdness, the awkwardness, and all your cool off the chart awesomeness!

How I help others:

I help by collaborating with you to make a plan that is tailored to you. We all experience the same emotions and problems, but yours are unique to you. So, when we work together you get to decide what path is right for you and I get to help you achieve it.

About me:

I moved to Southern Oregon in 2014 and feel as if I have found my forever home. That being said, when I was struggling with bulimia it was difficult to find the right care here in the valley. That was the driving force behind me pursing advanced practice nursing as a mental health nurse practitioner. And I truly love it! It's why I treat anyone struggling with an eating disorder regardless of age, or insurance. I have also found, that I am greatly satisfied by sharing skills for navigating the ups and downs of life using cognitive behavioral therapy and the Unified Protocol.

On a side note, I have the most awesome husband in the world, though of the two of us, he is the weird one (it's a contest and he's winning), the best Rottenweiler named Eddie Van Tailen, and his sister Abby aka "Farty McFarty Pants." I love reading, quilting, sewing things that don't have to fit, crocheting and knitting, and watching street food videos with my hubs. Enough about me though.
